Mr. McMullen is the founder and Principal of John McMullen & Associates, a firm that specializes in providing strategic marketing advice to the environment industry.  Specific services include:  
·        market research and analysis;
·        stakeholder consultations design, facilitation and reporting;
·        strategic planning;
·        program development; and
·        market promotion.  

Mr. McMullen’s career encompasses management and senior analytical positions in the transportation and energy sectors, followed by fifteen years consulting to public and private sector clients in the environment, energy, transportation and tourism fields. 

More recently he was instrumental in the design of Canada’s Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program.  He subsequently became President and CEO of ETV Canada Inc., the private-sector organization licensed by Environment Canada to launch and deliver the ETV Program.  In addition to managing the domestic Program, Mr. McMullen was active in providing assistance to other countries interested in adapting the ETV model to their own particular needs. 

A graduate of the Universities of Waterloo and British Columbia, Mr. McMullen is on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Environment Industry Association (CEIA), Chair of CEIA’s National Policy Forum, and a member of the Executive Committee of CEIA’s Environmental Exporters Council.  He also sits on the Board of EARTH (Canada) Corporation of Montreal.
