Ralston MacDonnell is President of the MacDonnell Group, a group of Canadian companies operating in the technology and consulting fields, including Vaughan Engineering Limited, Vaughan Environmental, Eastcan Group, Ati Management Consultants and Phoenix.mg. He is a science and engineering graduate of Saint Mary’s University and he has Bachelor and Masters of Engineering Degrees from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. He is a director of Canora (Asia) Inc. and Canora Brunei Environment Ltd.
Ralston is a senior consultant experienced in large scale environmental and community planning projects in Canada and internationally. He is principal in charge of a $7 million CIDA-CII Environmental Management project in India, the $14 million CIDA funded Egypt Environmental Initiatives Fund, the Halifax Regional Municipality Pollution Prevention / Source Control Implementation Strategy, Vaughan’s role in the Halifax Harbour Cleanup Project and the Regional Solid Waste / Resource Program.
Ralston is or has been a Director of numerous local, provincial and national organizations including the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada, the Canadian Council of Professional Engineers, the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, ISIS Canada, a National Centre of Excellence and the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design.
